The Walrus Audio Voyager Preamp Overdrive Pedal is a gain/preamp overdrive pedal that offers a wide range of tones and simple, easy-to-use control knobs. From the lowest to the highest settings, the Voyager adds a new level of clarity to every style of playing.

The Voyager is a great pedal if you want to add some grit to your tone and don’t want a high gain style overdrive. It’s also great for a wide range of genres and delivers everything from breakup edge to a sturdy crunch and gritty overdrive.

The Voyager brightens the signal and provides clarity to each note at lower gain levels, and morphs into a thick overdrive when the gain is dialled up, offering depth to chords while maintaining the clarity needed to break through the mix on solos. The Voyager is complete with true bypass switching.

This is how the different controls work:

Volume

The Volume knob simply sets the overall output of the pedal.

Gain

This lets you adjust the gain output. When you turn it up, the signal becomes grittier and more overdriven, and when the Gain is turned down, the signal is less gritty and sounds more like the original, unaffected signal.

Tone

This allows you to specifically adjust high end and treble frequencies. Just turn it up to increase how much high/treble frequencies are put into the signal, and turn the Tone down to decrease the amount of high/treble frequencies and add more low/bass frequencies into the signal.
