The Fender Custom Shop certainly have gone all out on this New Old Stock Artisan Stratocaster. Masterfully crafted using only the finest woods and components, there’s no doubt that this is an instrument of the highest calibre. This Fender Custom Shop NOS Artisan Strat’s jaw-dropping looks are thanks to its exotic tonewoods, pairing a Roasted Alder body with a stunning Maple Burl top. The roasting process imparts the wood with an alluring caramel hue. As well as enhancing this Artisan Strat’s visual appeal, the Maple Burl top also promotes note separation.
The gorgeous AAA Birdseye Roasted Maple neck is sculpted to a comfortable '63-style Strat Oval “C” and topped with a glass-like Macassar Ebony fretboard. The fretboard features a 9.50" - 12.0" compound radius, giving this Artisan Strat a slick, modern feel, and 21 Narrow Tall 6105 frets.
Rounding out this Fender Custom Shop NOS Artisan Strat’s impressive feature-set is its trio of Handwound Fat '60s Strat pickups, which are renowned for their exceptional clarity and articulation. Compared to the non-Fat versions, these single-coils are slightly overwound for extra low-end punch.
