Ibanez EH10 Erick Hansel, CHON, Trans Green Matte Overview

The Ibanez EH10 Erick Hansel Signature features a beatufully roasted maple neck with Jatoba fretboard, Nyatoh body, maple top finished in transparent green matte, jumbo frets, Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro neck and Seymour Duncan Hyperion bridge pickups, Gotoh tremolo bridge and machine heads, coil tap switch, chrome hardware and gig bag.

Jatoba fretboard with off-set white block inlay. Jatoba has a reddish brown color which produces a rich mid range with a crisp high end. Roasted Maple neck: Heat-treatment increases the wood's stability, durability, water resistance and tolerance of temperature changes.

Super All Access Neck Joint offers superior playability with its 8mm concave curve from the body top to the spherical surface of the joint area. By maximizing the joint area between the body and the neck, sustain and resonance are increased as well.

Combination of Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro neck pickup and Hyperion™ bridge pickup provides a vintage sound and vibe along with a clear picking attack. The Coil Tap Switch equipped on the neck pickup greatly assist to create variety of sound with 3way lever switch.

Gotoh T1502 tremolo bridge: T1502 tremolo bridge features steel saddles and a die-cast zinc tremolo block for a quick response and improved articulation. The 10.5mm string spacing allows for easy picking across strings. Its snap-in construction makes it easy to load a tremolo arm. Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads: The Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads achieve incredible tuning stability, cutting down string-changing time.

The luminescent side dot position marks make it easy for players to see fretboard position marks when performing on dark stages.

Graphtech TUSQ XL nut/Stainless Frets: The super smooth Graph Tech nut increases tuning stability, sustain and clarity of sound. Stainless steel frets boast excellent corrosion resistance. The wide and tall fret-type offers a quick response, good articulation when playing chords and clear tone when playing single notes.

Who are CHON?

In the past eight years, CHON have gone from playing local shows in their hometown of San Diego to a spot on the Billboard 200 and tours with Animals As Leaders and Circa Survive. The easiest category to put CHON in would be "instrumental," but that doesn't do the band justice. On their debut full-length Grow, CHON incorporate prog rock and jazz with lightning quick picking, staccato drumming and buoyant melodies, creating a sound that's fresh, exciting and wholly their own. (They even add vocals to a couple songs, "Can't Wait" and "Echo.") There are intricacies to the songs on Grow, but the band's approach to writing music is simple and organic. "We have fun writing this kind of music," says guitarist Mario Camarena. "We don't take it too seriously; it's just music we naturally write. I hope people who enjoy our stuff have fun listening to it."
