This Fender Custom Shop 1966 J-Bass’s impressive spec includes a 2-piece Alder body (specially chosen for its lighter weight), a Quarter Sawn Maple neck (sculpted to a comfortable '60 J-Bass profile), AAA Dark Rosewood fretboard (picked for its dark colour), Narrow Tall 6105 frets and dual handwound Vintage Jazz Bass pickups.
The matching headcap and block pearloid inlays give this Fender Custom Shop '66 Jazz Bass a striking visual identity. Whilst the majority of this '66 J-Bass has been given the more subtle Journeyman Relic treatment, the back of the neck has the deeper played-in feel of a Heavy Relic model.
