Fender Custom Shop LTD '64 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic, Super Faded Aged Shell Pink Overview

This limited-edition Fender Custom Shop '64 Stratocaster in Super Faded Aged Shell Pink boasts a fiery tone to match its striking aesthetic. Built by the Custom Shop’s highly revered luthiers using the finest tonewoods and components, there’s no doubting that this '64 Strat is an elite instrument.

The balanced, sustain-rich natural tone of this Fender Custom Shop guitar is thanks to its classic tonewood combination - a 2-piece Alder body (specially selected for its lighter weight), a stunning Flame AA Maple neck (Quarter Sawn for increased stability) and a smooth AAA Rosewood fretboard. The Alder body has been carefully contoured to match a vintage '64 Strat, whilst the neck has been carved to a '63-style Oval “C” for a truly comfortable playing experience. The 9.50" radius fretboard is adorned with 21 Narrow Tall 6105 frets, which impart the playability with a modern edge.

Electrifying this '64 Strat’s natural voice is a trio of Handwound Texas Special Strat pickups. These powerful overwound single-coils are renowned for their potent mids, crisp highs and tight lows - perfect for giving the front end of your rig a kick.

The Custom Shop have given this '64 Strat their Journeyman Relic treatment, which replicates the distinguished look and feel of a well-looked after vintage Fender. Featuring moderate finish checking, oxidised hardware and mildly discoloured parts, this is a beloved instrument that was meticulously polished and taken care of over the decades.
