Select Tonewoods

The core of this Custom Shop Telecaster’s natural voice is derived from its handpicked, period-correct tonewoods - Alder body, a gorgeous AAA Roasted Maple neck and a smooth AAA Rosewood fretboard. Alder has been a go-to Fender tonewood since 1956, thanks to its balanced, resonant tone with excellent definition in the upper mids and singing sustain.

The solid Alder body is paired with a Roasted Maple neck that lends crispness and snap to the tone. The neck features an alluring caramelised grain from the roasting process and is carved to a comfy '59 Esquire “C” profile, giving it a “hybrid” Tele vibe. Topping the neck is a AAA Rosewood fretboard that feels invitingly glass-like under the fingers. The fretboard features a 7.25" - 9.25" compound radius, imparting this old-school guitar with a slick, modern feel. Applied For” Filter’Tron, these pickups sonically straddle the line between a bright, chimey single-coil and a dark, rich humbucker.
