The Valcoder’s circuitry authentically recreates the sound of the tremolo section is classic Valco-made amplifiers - who built amps for legendary companies including Gretsch, Supro, National, Airline, Kay and Harmony.

The Catalinbread Valcoder can double as two effects - a lush tremolo and a gritty harmonic booster. To achieve valve-style crunch, all you have to do is crank up the Input knob and turn the Depth down. Plus, using the Output knob, the Valcoder can act as a potent booster that can give your amp a kick.

Tonnes Of Variation

The Valcoder’s Tremolo controls are highly interactive and can drastically alter the Trem’s character depending on where the controls are set. There’s a tonne of Tremolo flavours to be explored here. For example, as you increase the Depth, the Tremolo gradually shifts from a percolating, bubbly warble to a rhythmic staccato.
