Schecter PT Pro, Maple, Trans Blue Burst Overview
Schecter’s PT model has been in their catalogue for years, and the PT Pro is the latest incarnation of this popular, humbucker-equipped T-style alternative. Arguably the most modern version of this iconic guitar to date, the PT Pro sports a number of premium features that will suit contemporary players looking for ultimate performance. This includes a thin Roasted Maple neck, locking tuners and powerful US-made Schecter pickups.
Construction
The Schecter PT Pro is constructed from a traditional Alder body, serving as an excellent tonal foundation. Balanced and resonant, this industry-standard tonewood is also known for its strong mid-range, allowing riffs and solos to really pop in a band mix.
The PT Pro’s body is paired with a bolt-on Roasted Maple neck. Guaranteeing a snappy response and a bright top-end, this neck material and construction gives notes excellent attack and clarity too. The roasting process is also worthy of note, essentially removing moisture from the wood. This gives the neck more stability and strength, meaning that any risk of warping is greatly reduced while tuning stability is also improved.
Electronics
Schecter’s USA Z-Plus pickups give the PT Pro excellent versatility, providing plenty of bite when used with high amounts of gain and offering great articulate highs with clean settings. With a push-pull tone control, you can also coil-split the humbuckers to attain crisp single-coil sounds - perfect for softly-picked arpeggios or dreamy chords.
