Fender Custom Shop LTD '69 Roasted Telecaster Relic, Aged Candy Apple Red Overview

The spec of this limited-edition Fender Custom Shop '69 Telecaster in Aged Candy Apple Red is the stuff of dreams. Crafted from a selection of stunning tonewoods - including a 2-piece Roasted Alder body (which was specially chosen for its lighter weight) and a AAA Birdseye Roasted Maple neck - there’s no doubt that the Fender Custom Shop have pulled out all the stops with this incredible instrument. By roasting this '69 Tele’s tonewoods, the Fender Custom Shop have improved the stability and resonance of this guitar whilst giving it its distinctive darkened aesthetic.

This '69 Roasted Telecaster has undergone the Fender Custom Shop’s famous Relic process. Every element of this guitar has been meticulously aged to give it the authentic worn-in wear of a faithful workhorse that’s survived countless gigs over the years.

The body has been sculpted to match a 1967 Telecaster whilst the neck features a comfortable 1969 “U” profile. This gives this limited-run guitar an undeniable “Golden Era” feel. Whilst this '69 Tele oozes classic Fender charm, the fretboard’s 7.25" - 9.50" compound radius and Medium Vintage 47095 frets impart a modern edge to this guitar’s playability.

The Fender Custom Shop have equipped this '69 Telecaster with only the finest components, including a set of Handwound '67 Tele pickups (which deliver a beautiful twang and sweet chime) and a Bigsby B-5 bridge (perfect for subtle vibrato and bends).
