Classic Feel & Sound
This Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster uses the iconic '59 model as the basis for its design, providing it with an unmistakable “Golden Era” vibe. Boasting a spec that truly says “vintage”.
The premium tonewoods are a particular highlight. The body is carved from a Lightweight sorted piece of Ash, which delivers the strong, sweet resonance and singing sustain that Ash is renowned for. The exposed parts of the Blonde nitrocellulose finish demonstrate the body’s stunning wood grain. The beautiful Rift Sawn Maple neck plays every bit as well as it looks. With its "60’s C” neck profile and Jumbo 6100 frets, this Custom Shop Tele offers a vintage feel, with modern playability. The back of the neck has been sanded to give it the smooth, worn-in feel of one that’s been played for years.

With its Custom Shop Heavy Relic treatment, this 59 Stratocaster has been imparted with the endearing wear and tear of a battle-hardened workhorse. Every part of this guitar, from the numerous finish checks to the oxidised hardware, has been meticulously aged by the Fender Custom Shop Team.
Vintage Strat Tone
Continuing on the true vintage theme this guitar is loaded with Custom Shop Hand Wound Texas Special Strat set. The pickup that redefined hot Texas blues tone. Custom Shop Texas Special Stratocaster pickups are over-wound for increased output, and are made with alnico 5 magnets and enamel-coated magnet wire for great midrange bite with crystalline highs and tight bass.
Modern Reliability
This Stratocaster has been crafted by the incredible Fender Custom Shop luthiers, using only the finest materials and components. While you could easily mistake a lot of Fender Custom Shop guitars for a vintage model, they’re as reliable and road-worthy as a modern guitar should be. Whilst a vintage guitar may run into issues with maintenance (and cost significantly more), this Stratocaster is primed to bring that sought-after “Golden Era” flavour to any gig or session.
