Yamaha FGC-TA TransAcoustic Electro Acoustic Cutaway, Vintage Tint Overview
An agile dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar with effortless playability, plenty of projection and innovative TransAcoustic technology.
New Acoustic Experience
The FGC-TA electro-acoustic guitar is part of Yamaha’s acclaimed FG series, combining a top-notch instrument with immersive onboard effects. First and foremost, the FGC-TA is a fantastic dreadnought-sized acoustic that plays effortlessly and packs a clear, powerful tone.
Quality Construction
The Yamaha FGC-TA’s punchy, resonant and articulate sound is due to its high-quality tonewoods and intricate scalloped bracing. Featuring Mahogany back and sides, a solid Sitka Spruce top, a Nato neck and a bound Rosewood fretboard, the FGC-TA delivers an exceptional tone - unplugged and plugged-in. Whether you’re a seasoned player with a trick bag of techniques or an absolute beginner, you’ll adore the neck’s slim, tapered profile and satin-smooth finish. The classic dreadnought body shape features a tapered waist for optimal playing comfort and a cutaway for unrestricted access to the upper frets.
TransAcoustic Technology
What sets the Yamaha FGC-TA electro-acoustic apart from the pack is its groundbreaking TransAcoustic technology. This tech provides you with two onboard effects, a spacious Reverb and a lush Chorus. Unlike traditional built-in effects, the FGC-TA’s can be heard through the guitar’s soundhole - no external amp or PA required! You can enjoy the inspiring experience of playing in a rich, lively space wherever you are.
The TransAcoustic system uses an integrated actuator, a small metal disc that’s hidden within the guitar’s body. As you play the guitar, the movement of the strings makes the actuator vibrate. The vibrations are then transmitted to the body and the air surrounding the guitar to generate an authentic ambience.
Easy To Use
Thanks to the incredibly simple three-knob control layout, dialling in the perfect amount of ambience and movement couldn’t be easier. The Reverb knob gradually transitions from a subtle Room to a shimmering Hall whilst the Lineout Volume knob controls the output and acts as an on/off switch for the effects. When it’s time to plug in and perform, the effects are also translated through the SRT piezo pickup.
Finishing Touches
The Yamaha FGC-TA electro-acoustic comes in a range of attractive finishes, including a sleek Black, a classic Brown Sunburst and a natural Vintage Tint. The concert-sized FSC-TA is a more compact and affordable alternative to the FGC-TA that also features Yamaha’s TransAcoustic technology.
Yamaha have changed the game with their TransAcoustic series and the FGC-TA, offering players an immersive acoustic playing experience that stands out from the pack at a keen price point.
