Sequential Prophet X Synthesizer Keyboard Overview
Sequential’s Prophet X is a unique synth in their impressive lineup of premium synthesizers, fusing a hybrid digital & analogue sound engine with high-quality 8dio samples. The Prophet X is an instant soundtrack machine and is capable of producing truly evocative timbres - the likes of which you’ve never heard come from a hardware synth!
Premium Keyboard
Sequential’s Prophet X is equipped with a premium, semi-weighted Fatar keybed. This five-octave keyboard feels top-notch and is highly expressive thanks to its channel aftertouch and velocity-sensitivity. Additional performance features include a pair of touch-sensitive & latchable sliders and back-lit pitch & modulation wheels - all of which can be easily assigned to a huge number of destinations via the mod matrix.
Check out 76-key Prophet XL if you need access to a wider range. It’s the one we’d recommend if you’re primarily a composer or come from a piano-oriented background.
Ready For The Road
Whilst the Sequential Prophet X is a properly robust, road-ready instrument with its tough metal chassis and fantastic build-quality - it only weighs 11kg! Considering the sheer sonic power and knob-laden interface of the Prophet X, it’s a lot more transportable than you’d expect. Whether you’re using it on stage or as the centrepiece of your home studio setup, the Prophet X won’t disappoint with its superb sound and inspiring capabilities.
There isn’t another synth out there like the Sequential Prophet X. Composers and producers that are looking to imbue their music with unique sounds that are easy to dial in, the Prophet X is a must-try. Be warned, once you’ve started delving into the Prophet X’s sound engine, it’s very hard to stop.
