Mooer Yellow Comp Optical Compressor Pedal Overview

Classic optical compressor with smooth attack and decay, nice and transparent so it preserves the attack of your original signal transients too.

The Yellow Comp offers its smooth compression via simple analog circuitry, in a trademark Mooer pocket-sized package.

Please note the all Mooer micro series pedals must be powered by a 9V DC adapter (not supplied) as they're so economical on pedal board space you can't even fit a 9V battery in!

I have the Diamond Compressor this is 'based' on and this Mooer does a good job on my mini board. For the price and size this is not bad at all. Its not the Diamond but its a quarter of the cost and to my ears its better than a lot of other name units out there. The tone control makes all the difference. Compression with sparkle.

I have limited experience with compressors but I really like this pedal. I found my boss compressor pedal coloured the sound too much (too thin) and my JOYO dyna compressor far too subtle (and the attack knob seemed to be totally ineffectual). But the Mooer pedal is great - you can really hear the compression working, it is quite transparent as has been suggested in reviews and the tone knob gives a good range from bass to treble. It's small size makes it a bit difficult to affix to my pedal board - not much surface area to apply the Velcro to - but this is only a small niggle (it is a small pedal after all!). At the price I definitely recommend this pedal.
