Combining classic sounds with new interpretations, the Keeley Monterey is a surrealistic envelope of neo-vintage effects; vintage fuzz, rotary speaker, vibe, harmonic and auto wah, octave up or octave down, and an expression control to allow you to create a rich array of new and newer sounds.
Featuring two channels (Fuzz and Modulation), the Monterey can be configured to produce five different sounds. The right stomp switch activates the fuzz channel, which has been designed to provide a rich, full, classic two-transistor fuzz, with a touch of additional smoothness. With a heart made of vintage Fairchild transistors, the highly responsive and dynamic Monterey offers the perfect fuzz tone without the temperamental temperature related problems that germanium devices can exhibit.
The modulation channel is where the fun really starts, and the Monterey offers an Octave effect with both the Vibe and Wah - an Octave Up, Octave Down, or No Octave with both sounds.
Want more sounds? Just turn the unit over and take the bottom off - inside there is a tiny DIP Switch that allows you to change the order of the Fuzz and Modulation effects! Let your ears gaze at the strangeness. Alien amplitudes of gain and fuzz. Endlessly creative......
The Monterey Rotary Fuzz Vibe comes in twelve different hand made graphic designs - Keeley's intention is for a wonderfully random vibe, so we are not be able to select a specific pattern - but we're sure you'll agree that they all look fantastic!
