JHS Pedals AT+ Andy Timmons Overdrive Distortion Pedal Overview

The JHS Andy Timmons AT+ Pedal upgrades from the original 2016 version to include a new independent boost footswitch, with the same great tube amp tones and features as before.

The AT+ is based on the classic JHS Angry Charlie pedal, and JHS collaborated with Andy Timmons to add some new features as he required to create his signature pedal. Get the classic saturated sounds of British tube amps in a compact, portable pedal!

There are 5 control knobs - Volume simply controls the output volume, Drive controls the amount of drive that’s like a tube-amp cranked up, the EQ lets you brighten or darken the tone, Air is like the Presence control on an amp, and controls the upper mid-range voicing and high-end frequencies so you can make your tone brighter, and the new Boost control lets you adjust the volume of the Boost circuit. The Boost section is an independent single control boost that is engaged with the footswitch, great for letting your leads cut through the mix with Drive cranked up, and also works well with clean tones, providing a bit of extra crunch.

There’s also a wattage toggle switch between Volume and Drive that acts as a headroom modifier, emulating the sound of 25w, 50w and 100w amps. The 25w has a lower output and sounds more saturated and compressed, 50w sounds less compressed and more open, and 100w has more headroom and clarity with more volume. This is a great little feature as it lets you have more control over your sound, letting you dial-in a specific level of gain with the flick of a switch.

Powered by a 9v - 18v DC power supply (not included). It can be run at 18v for more headroom and greater dynamics.
