Ibanez AR520H, Black Overview
The Ibanez AR520H is part of the Artist Series, which harnesses one of Ibanez’s classic designs - a double-cut, symmetrical look which facilitates easy access to the higher frets. The AR520H’s body consists of a Maple top with an Okoume back, a Central African tonewood that’s tonally similar to Mahogany and lightweight. The brightness of the top and the warm mids of the back result in a beautifully balanced tone.
The 3-piece Maple neck is set into the body and boasts a smooth heel, promoting sustain and playability. It’s topped by a bound Jatoba fretboard and abalone/acrylic block inlays which, combined with the gold hardware, give the AR520H a premium aesthetic.
The dual Super 58 humbuckers, also featured in the Prestige models, are renowned their nuance and articulation whilst having plenty of growl on tap. The versatility of these pickups is expanded thanks to two tri-sound switches, giving you parallel and coil-split sounds in an instant. The Gibraltar Performer bridge provides the ARH520H with rock solid tuning stability, whilst increasing playability with its low-positioned saddles. Rounding off the impressive hardware spec is the Quik Change tailpiece, which enables rapid string changes so you can get straight back to playing.
If you’re into vintage looks, the AR520 also comes in a Violin Sunburst finish with a flamed maple top.
