The Fender Player Plus Series builds on the best-selling Player Series that was first released in 2018, combining classic Fender designs with upgraded features and new finishes to create Fender’s most advanced series ever in this class, setting a new standard for affordable guitars and basses.

Premium Tonewoods

The Fender Player Plus Active Jazz Bass V features a contoured Alder body. Alder is a staple Fender tonewood renowned for its light weight and full-bodied, resonant tone. The durable Maple neck is sculped to a comfortable modern “C” profile and boasts a silky satin finish for effortless playability. The Player Plus Active Jazz Bass V’s smooth Pau Ferro fretboard features 20 Medium Jumbo frets, a 12" radius, 34" scale and rolled edges for maximum left-hand comfort. Tonally, Maple delivers a crisp, sharp attack that promotes note definition whilst the Pau Ferro fretboard adds a bright snap that’s reminiscent of Ebony.

Electrifying the Fender Player Plus Active Jazz Bass V’s strident natural voice are a pair of Noiseless Player Plus Noiseless Jazz Bass single-coils. These pickups pack plenty of clarity and growl, while the onboard 3-band active EQ allows you to shape your tone to fit perfectly into a mix. The tactile mini-toggle switch lets you instantly alternate between active or passive mode, making the Player Plus Jazz Bass an incredibly versatile instrument that can handle a wide range of genres and styles.

Fender’s Player Plus Jazz Bass V is outfitted with a rugged Fender HiMass bridge. The HiMass bridge’s chrome-plated zinc saddles provide exceptional sustain and precise intonation. The standard open-gear tuners make string changes a breeze and cater for the Player Plus Jazz Bass V’s rock-solid tuning stability. The Player Plus Active Jazz Bass V’s feature-set is rounded out by nickel/chrome hardware, a 3-ply parchment pickguard and a classic 3-Colour Sunburst gloss finish.
