Epiphone Nancy Wilson Fanatic, Fireburst Overview

The Epiphone Nancy Wilson Fanatic is the first signature model by Heart co-founder Nancy Wilson, featuring a Mahogany body with a Nighthawk body shape, meant to emulate a woman’s curvy body shape and providing this guitar with a feminine touch. It also has a mahogany neck with a comfortable ‘C’ rounded profile topped with a durable 22-fret ebony fretboard, a Nighthawk hardtail bridge with through-body tailpiece in keeping with the vintage look, as well as being great for tuning stability and resonance, and Epiphone deluxe tuning machines.

For pickups, it has a pair of ProBucker humbuckers, with a nickel-covered FB720 at the neck, which was reconstructed to the original specs of the Gibson Firebird pickups from the mid-60s, delivering a clean, bright output with a warm low end, and an open-coil 3 Slant at the bridge position, with 5-way switching, making it very versatile and easy to get the sound you’re looking for.

To complete the Nancy Wilson Fanatic, there are twin parallelogram inlays giving it a premium feel, nickel hardware, a ‘pineapple’ inlay on the headstock, amber ‘top hat’ control knobs, and a striking Fireburst Gloss finish on the figured maple veneer top.
