Enjoy Electronics Reminder Effects Processor Overview

Enjoy Electronics’ Reminder is an intuitive desktop multi-effects processor that fuses a flexible quadrophonic delay section with reverb and filtering for evolving, rhythmic sounds.

Rhythm Machine

With the Reminder, Enjoy Electronics have designed a fluid and fast way to add your space, texture and rhythmic excitement to your audio source. Whether you’re using the Reminder with a synth, drum machine, guitar or vocal, you can quickly dial in an array of complex and exciting patterns.

Power Delay

At the heart of the Enjoy Electronics Reminder effects unit is the Power Delay. This powerful delay is perfect for enhancing your audio source with animation and rhythmic movement. There’s a lot of flexibility on tap, with the ability to set individual subdivisions (including triplet and dotted rhythms) for the Left and Right delay lines. They can also be offset for expansive rhythmic and ping-pong effects.

In addition to the main Left and Right delays, there’s the Dual Pulse Delay or DPD. With the DPD, you can add up to two copies of the main delay lines. These can be placed in a choice of seven equal locations between the main delay repeats, allowing you to craft elaborate 6-tap delay lines with ease. With the Power Delay section alone, you can transform the simplest audio signal into an intricate polyrhythmic pattern.

Working Modes

The “Working Modes” are ways in which you can dynamically interact the way the delay line, feedback or buffer behaves. There are four modes in total, with a manual and automatic version for each. These modes work in tandem with the Trigger button, which changes function depending on which mode is selected. A highlight is the Talk Over mode, which lets you freeze what the delay is doing and play over the top.

Onboard Filtering

The Reminder features onboard filtering, which allows you to sculpt the sonic character of the delay lines. There’s the main filter, which is applied to the entire signal and be placed either pre or post-processing and a dedicated filter for the DPD lines. Both filters are resonant and can alternate between high-pass and low-pass filtering, so you can soften the highs or carve out the lows as you see fit. This is particularly handy when carving out space for hi-hats or kick drums.

Reverb Section

Enjoy Electronics have equipped the Reminder with a lush Reverb, which is applied to the entire signal path when engaged. It features hands-on controls for Mix, Size and the high-pass filter. There are additional controls that can be accessed via the menu if you want to tweak the Reverb’s character even further. Once you’ve dialled in a Reverb setting that you like, you can store it in one of three preset slots.

LFO

Movement can be generated via the LFO, which can be easily assigned to a variety of destinations such as the filter and reverb parameters. You can adjust the LFO’s rate (which can be either be synced to tempo or free-running), select from four waveforms (triangle, square, sawtooth, reverse sawtooth)

Quadrophonic

As well as stereo functionality, the Enjoy Electronics Reminder is capable of creating quadrophonic soundscapes. The two primary delays, DPD delays and the dry signal can be assigned to any of the Reminder’s four outputs, resulting in an enveloping quadraphonic space. A second quadrophonic mode spins the dry and wet signals around the “room” for a truly encompassing sound.

Effortless Control

With so much hands-on control at your fingertips, you’re encouraged to tweak settings on the fly and intuitively explore all of the Reminder’s sonic possibilities. Visual feedback is catered for by a sharp OLED display, which demonstrates what the delays are doing in real time.
