Easily our best-selling digital piano, the Yamaha P45 is an outstanding digital piano for the money. Offering you the responsive, authentic feel of an acoustic piano, the P45 compares in both sound and playability with many of the more expensive alternatives in the digital piano range.

The P45 is the entry-level piano of this range, with its compact size, affordability and 88 keys, it’s great for beginners who want to get stuck in and learn on a good-quality instrument. The P45 has an 88-key Graded Hammer Standard keyboard, which lets you enjoy the natural feel of an acoustic piano, with matte black key tops (to prevent your fingers from slipping) and a slick black casing.

The P45 has 10 different instrument sounds - 2 Grand Pianos, 2 electric pianos, 2 pipe organs, 2 harpsichords, strings, and vibraphone, which is enough to satisfy a beginner and still covers the basic sounds that every player might use. It uses AWM (Advanced Wave Memory) stereo sampling, which is where digital technology is used to record a specific sound numerous times with different playing strengths, with high-quality digital filters applied after. This means it sounds more like an acoustic piano, effectively imitating how the keys sound different depending on how hard they are pressed. You can also choose from 4 different reverbs - Room, Hall 1, Hall 2, and Stage, for which you can also adjust the depth.

The P45 is a great option for students, teachers, beginners, and children. The two 6W amplifiers mean it’s loud enough to practice in a small room, but not for live gigs with other instruments, or in larger rooms.
