Tactile Interface

The SSL UF8 gives you effortless, analogue-style control over your software setup. Housed in a robust all-metal enclosure and finished with a brushed anodised top-plate, the UF8 is a pro-grade tool that encapsulates SSL’s deep understanding of production workflows.

Channelling their decades-long experience creating prized studio consoles, SSL have equipped the UF8 with 8 touch-responsive motorised faders, 8 endless rotary encoders and 43 assignable keys (set across 5 configurable banks). There’s a lot of flexibility here, as you can customise the UF8 to respond to your favourite shortcuts and macros. This can be done via SSL’s 360° software application, which makes configuring and editing your UF8 lightning-fast.

Instant + Precise Access

Each channel has its own crystal-clear high-resolution colour display so you can instantly see how each channel is assigned and how its parameters are set.

The UF8’s intelligent multi-purpose Master encoder gives you immediate control over timeline access and track banking as well as mouse-scroll emulation. This is particularly useful when you need to precisely edit plugin parameters, all you have to do is hover the mouse over it.

Pro Tools users can take advantage of Channel and Plug-in control modes, which provide quick access to send and plug-in settings.

Command Your DAW(s)

The SSL UF8 is ready-to-go as soon as you plug it in, as it’s compatible with all major DAWs (Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Studio One, Cubase) and comes with workflow-ready templates. If you like to, for example, record with Ableton, mix with Logic and master with Pro Tools, you can use the Switch Control to control up to three DAWs simultaneously. You can use the 360° app’s drag-and-drop configuration to dynamically edit the individual controllers.

There are also dual-purpose Selection keys, which provide rapid access to select functions in addition to Solo and Mute clearing with Logic and Pro Tools.

Room For Expansion

A huge advantage of the UF-8 is that it’s expandable, giving you the ability to connect up to 4 for a powerful 32-channel setup. This means the UF-8 can grow alongside your production rig and excel during the most demanding sessions.

The UF-8 features two footswitch inputs on the rear. Once you’ve hooked up your footswitch (like the Boss FS-6), you can use it for hands-free control of essential functions such as punch-in/out, start/stop, record arm as well as whatever your DAW software will let you assign.

Every UF-8 comes with an adjustable stand, giving you six angles of elevation. If you use a rack-based setup, 19" rack mount kits are available.
