Squier Paranormal Series Jazz Bass '54, Black Overview
The Squier Paranormal Series is a range of unique and quirky guitars and basses, featuring altered specs, once-forgotten shapes and classic/vintage hybrids and come in a range of finishes.
The Jazz Bass ‘54 is the only bass guitar in the Paranormal Series so far - it’s a hybrid that combines the looks of the classic 1954 Precision Bass with the playability and tonal versatility of the J Bass, so you get the best of both worlds.
It has a lightweight poplar body and a 34” scale length, a bolt-on maple neck that has a comfortable ‘C’-shaped profile, a narrow 1.5” nut width and a silky gloss finish. The fretboard is also made from maple with 20 ‘narrow tall’ frets and a 9.5” radius making it really easy to play.
The Squier Paranormal Jazz Bass ‘54 has a 4-saddle vintage-style bridge which is paired with vintage-style tuning machines to deliver solid tuning stability.
For pickups, it has a pair of Fender-designed Alnico single-coil pickups which are hot yet versatile, delivering a classic tonal potency and articulation that comes from the Jazz Bass. It also has dual concentric volume and tone controls.
The Jazz Bass ‘54 is completed with chrome hardware, a 50’s style gold anodized aluminium pickguard and is available in 3-Colour Sunburst and Black.
