Squier Affinity Series Stratocaster FMT HSS, Maple Fingerboard, Sienna Sunburst Overview
The Fender Squier Affinity Range has been refreshed for the first time since 2017 to include new and updated features, as well as new models and colours to breathe life into the popular Squier Affinity series. Key components have been upgraded such as tremolo bridges, pickups, tuning machines, and aesthetic updates such as gloss headstocks and updated logos, re-establishing the Squier Affinity range as a great option for beginners who want an affordable electric guitar or bass guitar that also looks and sounds great.
The Fender Squier Affinity Stratocaster FMT HSS has a thin and lightweight poplar body that provides a resonant and meaty tone as well as making it more comfortable to play, a striking flame maple top (FMT) which shows the natural wood grain and makes it eye-catching, a 25.5" scale length, a neck with a comfortable ‘C’ shape profile, and fretboard with 21 medium jumbo frets, both made from maple to provide a brighter, zesty tone, as well as providing contrast to the body colour. It also has a 2-point synchronized tremolo with block saddles which provide great tuning stability and better sustain, a synthetic bone nut and sealed die-cast tuning machines with split shafts that provide accurate tuning, as well as being easy to restring, which is ideal for beginners who just want to play.
For pickups, it has an HSS pickup configuration, which means it has a Humbucker pickup and two Single-coil pickups, and there’s a 5-way pickup switcher so you can get a wide range of tones - from bright and articulate single-coil sounds to warm humbucking tones, making it great for playing various styles of music.
To complete the Fender Squier Affinity Stratocaster FMT HSS are white control knobs and pickguard, chrome hardware, and a bright Sienna Sunburst finish.
