Snareweight M80 Drum Dampener, White Overview
Snareweight M80 Drum Dampener, White
M80 in white! It's the same gauge/thickness leather as the black M80 but a little more hidden on the drum next to a white head which some drummers dig.
Medium to Heavy Snare drum dampening - 4 different settings... or, flip it up and off the head for none at all.
The M80 presents some weight on the head to help shorten the lower frequency hum and never sticks to the head unlike tape or gels. You can dampen in a snap or disengage even faster with the on/off magnet feature. Works with triple flange hoops, die-cast, s-hoops, angel hoops, true hoops, brass hoops, and 1/4" wood hoops. Leather thickness does vary between 1.5mm to 2mm.

- Genuine USA Leather.
- The M80 is engineered to control the resonance without sacrificing the brightness of the drum. One M80 has 4 different dampening settings: mild, medium, , heavy and off. Remember the M80 fits any snare drum size;(8",9,10,12,13,14 etc.) It also presents some weight on the head (more than tape, plastic etc) which helps shorten the low frequency decay while keeping the drum bright and real. Dampen in a snap or disengage even faster with the on/off feature. If you want a dead drum, this one is NOT for you. Works with triple flange hoops, die cast, s-hoops, angel hoops, true hoops, brass hoops, 1/4" wood. Leather thickness does vary between 1.5mm to 2mm.
- Attach the clip over the rim of your drum (use the leather tab in the back of the clip to pull it open). * Most important*- Leather needs to sit flush on the head for optimum sound. To do this, attach the clip over the top of the hoop rim, then push down until the leather (not the clip) is sitting flaton the HEAD. Note that if you push the clip too far down on the hoop the leather may not sit flat and dampening will be minimal. Try several different placements on your hoop and listen for the sound change.
