Bring on the Apocalypse
Schecter’s Apocalypse range of instruments feature distressed designs alongside super high-output pickups for a destructive tone and “zombie movie” looks. The C-4 Apocalypse has had the same signature treatment and your audience will be convinced that it’s made it through the end of the world and lived to tell the tale - albeit with a sinister apocalyptic tonality and aesthetic.
Apocalypse J-Buckers
Earth shattering devastation are the only way to describe Schecter’s set of Apocalypse J-buckers, designed with a unique tri-field design to deliver pure tonal carnage. The merging of alnico V magnets with dual flanking ceramic 8s provide the bass with its aggressive yet balanced tone, offering a combination of fast attacks and tactical harmonics designed for musical combat. Producing a crushing midrange, a tight, focused response, and an incredible articulation, the Apocalypse pickups are designed to shake the very ground you walk upon.
Beautiful Swamp Ash Body
The Apocalypse Bass features a lightweight swamp ash body, delivering incredible resonance and a dynamic sonic range perfect for delivering atmospheric soundscapes. The ash wood’s airy tone features a strong ‘twang’ character, with a slightly scooped midrange to help boost its natural brightness for a sweeter sound. Its pleasing high-end is slightly pronounced for a quick attack, while its firm low-end and high levels of sustain provide extra layers of sonic detail. The bass is then finished in a rustic grey colour to deliver a stunning ‘end of the world’ aesthetic, showing off the beautiful figuring of the ash wood to create a truly eye-catching design.
Comfortable Maple/Padauk Neck
A combination of maple and padauk make up the bass’ neck, delivering plenty of high end sizzle with a strong bass response. While the maple tonewood delivers a beautifully bright character, the deep, robust sounds of the padauk help keep the bass’ booming low end for a truly destructive sonic quality. Its thin ‘C’ profile is ideal for deliver fast performances and speed runs, designed to let the hand naturally cup the neck for an incredibly comfortable playing experience. An ebony fingerboard is coupled with the neck, providing excellent balance with a bright, responsive attack and a smooth sustain. Carbon fibre rods are also added to the neck, improving its stability and preventing any bowing that may occur from string tension.
String-Through-Body Custom Bridge
The C-5 Apocalypse features Schecter’s custom hardtail bridge, designed to offer maximum string stability for an enhanced performance. The bridge incorporates a string-through body construction to improve the bass’ overall tonality and sustain. This is achieved by optimising the transfer of vibrations and resonance from the strings to the body as it goes over the hardtail bridge and passes through the guitar.
