- Roland is continuously updating and improving Roland Fantom, and they’ve already released numerous updates adding new features. Check out the added features from the V2.50 Update, making the Fantom even powerful than before.
- The Roland Fantom comes with a 2-year warranty.
While all 3 variants of the Roland Fantom share the same controls, inputs/outputs and internals, the Fantom is available in 3 key configurations. Where the Fantom 8 gives you an 88-key fully-weighted wooden piano hammer action, courtesy of Roland’s PHA-50 keyboard action, the Fantom 7 has 76-semi weighted synth-action keys with aftertouch, which are the same that features on the Fantom 6, which has 61 keys.
The semi-weighted 61 key synth-action that features on the Fantom 6 is the same that is found on the Jupiter X. It is Roland’s most luxurious and premium feeling synthesizer action, offering a playing experience like no other. The keys have a lovely amount of resistance, whilst still being light enough to perform fast synth lead lines, phat basslines, brass runs and percussive sounds with ease. The key action also features Aftertouch, meaning that key pressure can be assigned to various different modulation settings that lay in the synth.
The Fantom 6 fits perfectly into the Roland SC-G61W3 Semi-rigid 61-Note Keyboard Case with Wheels and sits on the Roland KS-10Z Keyboard Z Stand.
