Ozark 2139 Appalachian Dulcimer Overview
The Ozark Appalachian dulcimer has an attractive hourglass shape with 4 ‘F’ sound holes. This is a quality instrument with a spruce laminated top and maple laminated back, sides, fingerboard and peghead. Tuning is made easy with individual open machine heads. This traditional instrument is used in many styles of music. It has four strings - a double melody and two single course strings. There are many alternative tunings; we suggest (1st) DD-A-D (3rd) N.B. Treble (1st) is toward the player
