Meris 440 500 Series Mic Preamp Module Overview
Meris 440 500-Series Mic PreampGet Big Studio Console Sound on your Tracks
The Meris 440 Mic Preamp is a unique boutique 500-Series studio preamp with a difference. With an integrated, pedal friendly built-in effects loop attenuated to guitar-pedal level, means that whatever your mic is recording, you can now use your guitar pedals to add effects to the signal.
Designed to be the ultimate mic pre for guitar, the 440 is just as capable as a mic pre for vocals, percussion and other instruments as it is with handling acoustic and electric guitar transients.
• Cinemag I/O Transformers for an extremely fat mic pre-tone
• Built in Effects loop – connect your favourite pedals in line or use as a superior Bass D/I
• High Pass Filter that selects between 80Hz and 200Hz
• Custom 7kHz or 4kHz High Shelf Filter to achieve the optimum tone for your instrument recording
• 20dB Pad, Phase Reverse and 48V Phantom Power switches
• Designed and Built in Los Angeles, California U.S.A.
The Meris 440 is designed and built in L.A., California and contains only the highest quality components available today, like legendary Cinemag input and output transformers and hybrid-discrete OpAmps that receive and drive each respective transformer section. These all unite to create highly sought after classic American tone reminiscent of famously popular mic preamps made in the 1970s.
The all-analogue signal path benefits from a customised 4kHz or 7kHz high shelf switch, 20dB pad and full control over the 60dB of gain and output levels. The levels of creativity you can go to with the Meris 440 are only hindered by your imagination!
With immaculate attention to detail, the Meris 440 is solidly built and the front panel controls are clearly laid out and labelled, making it extremely easy to use. Plugging your guitar pedal into the effects loop means you can now add your favourite reverb or delay effects into the signal chain, distortion-free and without the need for any intermediary equipment. The effects loop input also doubles as a super-clean and smooth sounding D.I. for direct recording, adding to its versatility.
