The Meinl Byzance Vintage Smack Stack consists of 3 cymbal discs made from B20 bronze (10", 12" and 14") uniquely shaped with a special surface treatment.
Add new colours and voices to your drum kit or percussion set up with a Meinl Smack Stack! The smack stacks are a great way of replicating that classic early electronic snare drum effect or as an additional sound effect with a super fast, cutting attack and short sustain.
The sounds can be manipulated by simply adjusting your cymbal stand wing nut. A tightened down wing nut will create a short, crisp attack while having a more loose setting will give you a longer sustain with a bit of sizzle. The Smack Stacks also work well when you pair up with your snare drum for enhanced back beats or even and an alternative option to your snare completely.
