Marshall JCM800 2203 Vintage Reissue 100W Valve Head Overview
The Marshall JCM 800 2203x Vintage Series 100W Tube Head is the original amp behind Eddie's famous "brown sound", from way back in the '81 to '90 era of huge guitars. It's still backing some of rock's greatest players, including Zakk Wylde, Bill Kelliher, Billy Corgan, Kerry King, and too many other artists to list fully. It's still out there, working hard and touring the world year after year!Originally debuted under the 2203 model number in the '70s, the JCM 800 name was introduced in '81 and coincided with new, updated livery. The JCM 800 2203 marks something of a transition between Marshall's two model numbering/naming systems and the 2203x is the modern reissue of this monstrous '80s amp.
The JCM 800 is the quintessential hard-rock and metal amp and features four EL34s to pump out 100W of that inimitable Marshall drive.
