I am not really sure about this lifter. It does lift the bass drum however the hoop gets in the way and the beater has to extend to far forward when the lifter is placed at its furthest point. I will not be able to use it until I get my hoop cut away to allow the pedal to be moved closer to the head. It's a well made product though just make sure part of your hoop is cut away or else you will have the same problems I have had. Good luck
