Line 6 HX Effects Helix Multi FX Processor Pedal Overview
The HX Effects from Line 6 features the same 200+ world-class stompbox models as its siblings, the Helix Floor and the Helix Rack in addition to legacy boxes from Line 6’s M-Series and Stompbox Modeler series. It’s a highly effective solution if you’re looking to replace your masses of bulky pedals with something that can do it all or supercharge your board with an FX toolbox. If you’re looking to get into the Helix range and prefer the response of an amplifier, the HX Effects is the one for you!
Stompbox Sound + MultiFX Choice
The HX Effects gives you the best of both worlds - the versatility and choice of a multi-fx with the incredible quality of individual pedals. You can run up to nine pedals simultaneously, that’s a lot of effecting! Every single component of the real deal has been painstakingly replicated, giving you the feel and, most importantly, the sound of the pedal that’s being emulated. Pristine audio and low-noise are guaranteed thanks to 123dB of dynamic range.
The natural tone of your guitar and amp is preserved when the HX Effects isn’t in use, thanks to a switchable analogue bypass.
Improved Pedalboard Functionality
Visual feedback is provided by the customisable “scribble strips”, which tell you exactly what effect is assigned to what footswitch. Assigning and editing effects is a breeze with the touch-sensitive footswitches. Touching a footswitch with your finger instantly jumps to that effect, touch two switches together to swap the effects over and touch/hold a switch to display all the parameters across the board.
Use Anywhere, With Any Instrument
The HX Effects packs an unbelievable amount of power into a compact form factor that can easily fit onto your board/on top of a synth/on your desk etc.
The switchable line-level input gives you the ability to use the HX Effects as an external processor for your synths, keyboards, mixers in the studio and live.
A flexible I/O configuration gives you the ability to seamlessly integrate the HX Effects into your rig and enhance its control capabilities, featuring two expression inputs, parallel stereo signal paths, two assignable (stereo linkable) effects loops and up to four amp switching outs.
MIDI inputs and outputs, as well as MIDI over USB, means your HX Effects can effortlessly communicate with your MIDI-enabled pedals and DAW of choice. When hooked up to your computer via USB, you can use the free Helix Editor software to quickly and easily edit your patches.
Check out Helix Floor, Rack and LT if you’re looking to incorporate highly-realistic amp sims and the HX Stomp if you’re looking for the Helix sound in a stompbox.
