The KMA Machines WURM 2 stompbox is a fresh take on the Dark Legend of distortion pedals - the Boss HM-2 (MIJ). The HM-2 had a cult following during the '90s Death Metal scene, where it became the key ingredient in the Swedish Chainsaw sound. Gnarly buzzsaw tones and aggressive sounds are the names of the game. KMA Machines have pushed the boundaries of the original HM-2 distortion pedal and taken things further down the “left-hand path”. By refining the legendary “doom and gloom” high-gain tone of the vintage unit, enhancing its tonal flexibility and putting it in a compact, pedalboard-friendly enclosure, KMA Machines have brought that classic pedal into the modern age.

More than Just a Metal Distortion

Whilst the WURM 2 distortion nails that iconic Swedish Chainsaw sound, it’s capable of far more flavours of high-gain madness thanks to the sensitive distortion and colour controls with a Highly configurable 4-band active EQ
Keeping the active HM-2 dual-band EQ section, but adding an extra two bands, gives you a much wider range of tones to tailor your distortion sound. On top of that, each band has an internal trim-pot to change the centre frequency and fine-tune your tone further if the need arises.
