Bought this and the Hardcase Hardware Case with Wheels (40x12x12in, Black) together for a tour around the UK and does the job perfectly. Means I don't have to worry about my snare drum getting damaged when gigging with. I put some fabric inside the case as suggested by another reviewer as It doesn't feel like it could protect against a big fall but compared to a soft case, it will protect the snare far better. Not as heavy as I thought it would be and the 3 clips make it feel very secure. Best thing for your snare if you're looking to gig. Wish I'd bought one sooner. It also comes with 10 year warranty from Hardcase, whats not to like?

Solidly made, and nicely interlocking with their other cases. However, the foam pads inside are not very substantial. When I have put the drum inside, I add one or more cheap towels to pack out the gaps, particularly at the opposite end to the handle. I have not tried the "fully lined" version that Hardcase also produce.
