Guild USA F-512E Maple 12 String Jumbo Acoustic, Natural Overview
Guild USA guitars defined the 12-string sound in the 60s and are just as popular today, having been used by musicians such as Tom Petty, David Gilmour and Stevie Ray Vaughan, among many others. They’re known for having a big sound with great projection and combined with a premium LR Baggs pickup system, you’ll be able to get a great live sound as well.
The Guild USA F-512E electro-acoustic guitar has solid Indian rosewood back and sides, which produces strong mids, with pronounced lows and crisp high. The top is made from solid AAA Sitka spruce and has scalloped X bracing. This classic combination of tonewoods delivers shimmering highs, singing mids and a warm low end.
The neck is made from mahogany and has a walnut centre strip for extra strength, with a ‘C’-shaped profile making it comfortable to play. It also has an ebony fretboard with 20 frets and Guild’s classic mother of pearl and abalone V-block inlays.
The bridge is made from Indian rosewood to deliver more sustain, bone bridge pins, and Gotoh open-gear tuning machines for improved tuning stability.
The F-512E has a high-quality LR Baggs Anthem pickup which is one of the best pickups for steel-string acoustic guitars, with a blend control so you can precisely blend the microphone and piezo sound to your liking, making it great for live performances and accentuating the natural sound of the guitar.
The Guild USA F-512E Maple 12 String Jumbo Acoustic is complete with beautiful scalloped Adirondack spruce binding, railroad track fingerboard purfling, a fully bound traditional headstock, and a natural nitro finish that accentuates the wood grain.
