Gibson Les Paul '70s Deluxe, Cherry Sunburst Overview

The Gibson Les Paul Deluxe, first released in 1969, saw the introduction of the mini-humbucker to the Les Paul lineup, which kept the hum-free performance of the full-sized humbuckers but delivered a slightly clearer and brighter tone.

The Gibson Les Paul ‘70s Deluxe has a mahogany body with a maple top, a killer combination that delivers a tight, bright, focused sound, with the maple top also contributing to the look of the guitar. The neck is made from mahogany to bring extra warmth to the sound and has a comfortable Rounded C profile. It’s topped with an Indian rosewood fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and classic trapezoid inlays, and the Gibson Les Paul ‘70s Deluxe also has a Graph Tech nut, which produces more sustain as well as a clearer and sharper tone, and there's a Tune-O-Matic bridge and an aluminium stop bar tailpiece which combined provide great tuning stability.

For pickups, it has a pair of mini-humbuckers, which have almost everything in common with the classic PAF pickups, except for their size. As the name suggests, it has a smaller physical area, which means tonally it has some differences - it picks up a shorter length of the vibrating guitar string, which means a slightly lower output with more clarity, articulation, and more high-end brightness, even with heavy distortion. There’s a 3-way toggle switch so you can easily found the sound you need.

To complete the Gibson Les Paul ‘70s Deluxe is cream binding, chrome hardware, vintage keystone tuners, and a classic 70s Cherry Sunburst gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish. It comes with .010 - .046 strings and a Hardshell case.
