Gibson Custom 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS, Tangerine Burst Overview
The Gibson Les Paul has to be one of the most - if not the most - iconic electric guitars ever made, and this outstanding reissue of its 1960 Tangerine Burst incarnation recreates all the charisma, tone, and sheer playability of the original - at a fraction of the cost.
With its carved Maple top and solid Mahogany back, the 1960 Les Paul Standard VOS exudes quality, craftmanship, and timeless design. The rounded profile neck of the '58 and '59 models has made way for the faster playing Slim Profile of the '60, while the period correct ABR-1 brass saddled bridge, aluminum tailpiece, and Kluson tuners ensure that tuning stability is not compromised. Alnico III CustomBuckers neck and bridge pickups provide the classic Les Paul tone, which in turn can be manipulated by the familiar two volume / two tone potentiometers - complete with paper-in-oil capacitors and a three-way Switchcraft switch.

1960 was the last year for the original Les Paul Standard, nearly identical to a 1959 model except for a few specs. Most notably, it features a fast-playing slim neck profile, beloved by the many famous musicians who played '60 Bursts including Eric Clapton, Joe Walsh, and Paul McCartney. It also has ""reflector"" Volume & Tone knobs and wider ""double-ring"" tuner tips. The Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue is a clone of the originals from the hide-glue construction to the chemically re-engineered plastic parts.
