Gibson Acoustic J-45 Standard, Cherry Overview

The J-45 is without a doubt one of Gibson's most beloved, iconic, and famous acoustic guitars. Its rich and full tone has seduced a who's-who list of players since its introduction in 1942, and features on countless influential recordings.

This model stays true to Gibson's original vision of an understated, no-frills workhorse, and combines traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing and a compound dovetail neck joint with a solid Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck, and a high-grade Rosewood fingerboard to produce an instrument of superb quality; excellent definition, classic tone, timbre, and unsurpassed charisma paying tribute to the expert craftsmanship of Gibson's acoustic luthiers. Amplification is easily accessed via excellent LR Baggs VTC electronics.
