This limited-edition Fender Custom Shop '62 Roasted Jaguar in Aged Natural boasts a beautifully articulate tone to compliment its sophisticated looks. Built by the Custom Shop’s highly revered luthiers using the finest tonewoods and components, there’s no doubting that this '62 Jaguar is an elite instrument.
The balanced, sustain-rich natural tone of this Fender Custom Shop guitar is thanks to a classic tonewood combination - a Roasted Alder body (treated for a stunning caramel hue), a jaw-dropping AAA Birdseye Maple neck (also roasted for superior stability and temperature resistance) and a glass-like AAA Rosewood fretboard. The Alder body and neck’s dimensions have been sculpted to match a vintage '62 Jaguar, for an authentic “Golden Era” playing experience. The 9.50" radius fretboard is adorned with 22 Medium Jumbo 6150 frets, which boast a more slick, modern feel compared to a vintage-style fretwire.
Electrifying this stellar Custom Shop guitar’s natural voice is a pair of '62 Jaguar Flat Magnet pickups, which deliver the jangle and versatility that you’d expect from a sought-after vintage Jag.
The Custom Shop have given this '62 Jag their Relic treatment, which imparts the authentic worn-in wear of a battle-hardened vintage Fender. Featuring extensive finish checking, exposed wood, oxidised hardware and discoloured parts - this guitar has been a faithful companion through countless gigs and performances over the decades.
