Built in Corona, California, the short scale American Performer Mustang is a high quality bass designed with a classic aesthetic, and as part of the American Performer range - a selection of high quality American built instruments with accessible price tags - Fender have provided a great new design which is equipped to deal with a life on the road, and years of ownership.

The compact, vibrant, and uniquely shaped Alder body sits comfortably on the lap, or strapped around the shoulders, while the eye catching Satin Surf Green finish provides a timeless aesthetic that will certainly get you noticed. Likewise, the satin finished neck is of an exceptional quality, and features a “Modern C”-shaped profile that works well with almost any playing style. The Rosewood fingerboard's radius is 9.5", which when combined with the 19 Medium-jumbo frets, provides a modern, positive, and comfortable feel.

Fender's Yosemite® pickups are specifically voiced for each instrument and position, and together with their excellent Greasebucket Tone Sytem, the combination of a Yosemite® split-coil Mustang Bass middle pickup, and Yosemite® single-coil Jazz Bass bridge pickup provide a highly usable sonic versatility. Other features include Tapered-Shaft tuning machines, which force string windings downward for increased sustain and enhanced tuning stability, a string-through 4-Saddle bridge for further tuning stability, precise intonation and increased sustain, and classic detailing such as a Pearloid scratchplate, and dot inlays. A deluxe gig bag is also included.
