Epiphone EB-0 SG Bass, Cherry Overview

The Epiphone EB-0 SG Style bass guitar has a short-scale and narrow neck making it very easy to play. But more than that it's also an entry-level reissue of an absolute classic. Back in the '60s the original Gibson EB-0s and EB-3s were renowned for their unique tones. This Epiphone has the same mahogany body and rosewood fingerboard but, as an interesting change to the original spec, has a bolt-on neck.

Also like the originals the Epiphone has a single humbucker pickup, in this case an Epiphone made 'Sidewinder'. This pick-up translates the solid mahogany body's natural character into a rich tone. The narrow neck profile is fast and comfortable while the chrome hardware finishes things off with aplomb. The EB-0 is a classic short-scale bass and the scale here is 30.5", making it great for players with smaller hands

Overall the Epiphone EB-0 bass great tone and a classic look that's sure to inspire.

Only 4 stars because this bass is made in Indonesia and not in the USA.which I was assumingand not aware of at the time of purchase.. With the Epiphone name and heritage I was looking forward to this so it took the edge of the joy off it a bit at the time but I am over that now. However the build quality and finish is excellent, faultless.. Still highly recommended for anyone looking for a short scale bass at a reasonable price £169. I guess the price reflects far eastern labor prices as American labor would be a more expensive price.. Good value for money..5 stars. The Epiphone EB-III case fits this bass perfectly with a bit of extra space at the top as the EBO is 4 inches shorter than the EB-III makes carrying horizontally balanced with no tilting. .
