EarthQuaker Avalanche Run V2 Reverb Delay Pedal Overview

The other night, after eating a full box of cheese flavored snacks right before bed, we had a dream that the Avalanche Run had morphed into a silver and yellow demonic creature. Upon waking, we thought, hmm - eating that whole box of cheesy things at midnight might not have been our greatest idea. Then we thought, ya know - that Avalanche Run did look pretty sweet. Now our weird dream has become a reality! We decided to make a handful of special hammertone silver and yellow Avalanche Run V2 RYOs (non demonic ). We think they’re pretty spiffy, so grab one while you can!

The EarthQuaker Devices Avalanche Run was developed with one goal in mind: to take the floating ambient tones of our Dispatch Master to the next level while still keeping it user friendly and refined. Taking you into the aural exploratorium without having to break open the user manual every time you want to open up your inner eye and get free is no easy task. We are using a high powered proprietary DSP platform to recreate all the characteristics of all our old favorite delay and reverb machines while still retaining a simple, yet flexible workspace.

The Earthquaker Devices Avalanche Run is a lush sonic discovery device with up to 2 seconds of delay time. With complete control over delay time, repeats, mix and tone (via the voice control), reverb length, 3 different modes: Normal, Reverse and Swell, plus the usual mix control, this is a seriously flexible reverb/delay pedal.

Normal mode is a pretty straightforward delay/reverb mode. Reverse mode gives you a reversed delay line and regular reverb. Swell mode makes the the Avalanche Run react to the dynamics of your picking and adds a slow gear style volume swell to the whole signal

With the expression jack you can assign an expression pedal to one of six different controls using the EXP selector switch. The Avalanche Run also features Tap Tempo and six different delays ratios that can be accessed via the Ratio switch.

The Avalanche Run even has switchable 'true' bypass/buffered bypass, depending on tonal preference (and for those reverb/delay trails) and has 5 different tail lengths, our favourite's the Infinite setting. Perfect for lo-fi, pseudo-looping audio degradation bliss.

Each and every EQD is completely assembled, wired and tested by total humans in the tiny town of Akron, Ohio. A fact EQD are very proud of.
