Darkglass Alpha Omega Photon Pedal Overview

The Darkglass Alpha Omega Photon pedal is an advanced bass preamp that packs a host of incredible tone sculpting features into a compact, pedalboard-friendly form factor. As you’d expect from a pedal made by the acclaimed Finnish company, the Alpha Omega Photon is built to last for many years to come.

Complete Bass Solution

This cutting-edge pedal is an all-in-one tone-shaping solution for your bass rig. There’s no doubting that the Darkglass Alpha Omega Photon is a seriously versatile beast, offering Compression, Distortion, Cab Simulation and 6-band Graphic EQ within a rugged, road-ready pedal. It may well become the only unit you need on your board!

True Tweakability

Darkglass’ Alpha Omega Photon is similar to their Aggressively Distorting Advanced Machine pedal in that it can be used as an audio interface and features Bluetooth connectivity for additional control via the free Darkglass Suite app. Whether you’re recording directly into your computer, plugging into your bass amp of choice or going straight into the desk via the XLR out, you can count on the Darkglass Alpha Omega Photon to sound incredible.

Expansive Distortion

The Alpha Omega Photon’s distortion circuit is derived from the Alpha Omega pedal, which was designed alongside Karnivool’s Jon Stockman and is renowned for the breadth of tones it’s able to conjure. Like with the Alpha Omega, you can continuously blend between two flavours of distortion and go from warm, valve-like overdrive to all-out filth with ease.

Mythological Tone Shaping

The Alpha (Compressor), Beta (Distortion) and Gamma (Cabinet Simulation) circuits offer five distinct modes/impulse responses, which are selected using the multi-function (push or rotate) footswitches. You can mix your dry tone with the compressed and distorted to taste using the Blend control and intuitively sculpt your sound to any context using the 6-band Graphic EQ.

Perfect For Practice

As well as being a top-notch performing and recording tool, the Darkglass Alpha Omega Photon is primed for your practice sessions as well thanks to its headphone output, Aux Input and Bluetooth audio streaming capability.

If you’re looking for a professional-quality pedal for your bass rig that can cover a lot of bases, presents a tonne of tweakability and is extraordinarily well-built - the Darkglass Alpha Omega Photon is a top choice.
