Charvel MJ Rick Graham Signature DK24, Celeste Overview
U.K. guitar master Rick Graham built a fanbase at home and abroad with his incredible guitar skills, which range from delicate passages to overdriven virtuosity and everything in between.
In addition to his classical guitar studies at London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Rick Graham has performed with Polyphia, Plini, Andy James, Jason Richardson and others. This signature model takes Rick Graham’s favourite specs and puts them into a beautiful, versatile, and unique guitar that’s great for a variety of musical styles.
The Rick Graham Signature Model MJ DK24 harkens back to the late '80s when Charvel guitars were made in Japan. This model combines Charvel’s high-performance instruments with Graham’s favourite premium features and a Celeste finish.
The Charvel MJ Rick Graham Signature DK24 has a Basswood Dinky body with a scalloped lower back bout and sculpted shredder’s cut heel for easy access to the upper frets.
The neck and fretboard are made from caramelised maple - the neck has a bolt-on construction, a speed neck profile and a satin finish, making it effortless to play leads. The fretboard has 24 jumbo frets, rolled fingerboard edges, and a 12” - 16” compound radius that makes it easy to play chunky chords on one end and soaring leads on the dusty end.
This Charvel Signature model has a Gotoh Custom 510 recessed tremolo bridge which provides great tuning stability and tone, Gotoh locking tuners, and a Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut, which lets you hear richness from every note you play.
For pickups, there are three Custom Rick Graham Bare Knuckle pickups, with a humbucker at the bridge and single-coil pickups in the middle and neck positions. The Bare Knuckle ceramic humbucker bridge pickup delivers a rich midrange with tons of output and a great split-coil tone.
