The Nextone Stage is a 40W 1x12 Combo Amplifier. It has 4 analogue Class A/B power amp circuits, driven by a Class A/B power amp, which you would find in the most efficient valve amplifiers.
You can select between 4 legendary/iconic American and British amp/valve types (6V6, 6L6, EL84 and EL34) and even select one to be your clean, and then another to be your crunch/lead tone. Each of these 4 models gives the same dynamic response and signature tone that these 4 amps are originally famous for. These can be independently selected for clean and crunch channels, allowing you to personalise your dream amp setup.
The sound engine within the amp is Boss' legendary TubeLogic, meaning that every component of the amp from jack to speaker, has been meticulously modelled and replicated. When you select a specific amp type, everything from the gain, EQ and effects will react exactly as the physical amp would. TubeLogic also allows playing expressively and dynamically with the amp, as the modelling will behave just like a traditional valve amp, softening/cleaning up as you play guitar or drive/breakup as you attack/dig in. It even reacts differently when switching the guitar you are using with a Nextone, meaning each of your guitars maintain their own voice and individual character. Not only that, if you are playing at bedroom volume, you can reduce the total power of the amp to just 0.5 of a watt, meaning you can still experience the tone of a dimed amp. but at a reasonable volume.
The Speaker has been designed to perfectly partner and interacts with the 4 Class A/B power amp circuits, meaning it will project the full tonal capabilities of these amps. It reacts exactly the same as the most popular Green, Silver and Blue type speakers. If you already have your favourite speaker setup, simply unplug the speaker from the back of the amp and connect the Nextone via a Speaker cable to your cabinet (single 8ohm or dual 16ohm).
The Nextone has a dedicated input for the option GA-FC footswitch, a Rec Out (which has cab simulation meaning you don't need a mic), a Line Out for connecting to PA and an effects loop.
Connect the amp via USB to your computer and it will record as it's own Audio Interface. You can also use the dedicated Boss Tone Studio software to open up a whole new world of options for your Nextone. You can customise how the amp reacts at the preamp stage, the power amp stage, what effects are enabled and fine-tune the amp with a versatile EQ. BTS essentially makes you an amp engineer, personalising the amp to your optimum setup.
