Fantastic bit of kit. Superb tone. Very impressed.

Disappointed when I received this and tried it out. Volume was lower than I'd expected, and tone controls didn't really give much variation. There's no mains lead included. Having bought it for quiet practice in a bedroom I realised that the price, space saving & portability wasn't more important than the sound quality, so returned it and bought a Fender Rumble 15 v3 which I'm happy with. I'm sure it will meet the requirements of some people, and maybe I'd expected too much, or not researched the product well enough, but I didn't think it did a good enough job & wasn't worth the money.

This is a tiny amp that can be used to hear practice somehow able to handle bass slapping & twanging without the little speaker popping really good starter bass amp

I have used other small practice amps for my guitar in the past and the looked and sounded like toys. So with a little trepidation I purchased the baby Blackstar for my bass. Tiny plastic box:- check as expected. Pre-loaded with batteries:- 6 of them surprised !! Sound:- WOW This little box is a great little amp, if you are restricted to the level of sound that you can make (or not.) This is a real amp with a great sound that is made to be used and not a toy. I would recommend that you go to your Blackstar stockist and give one a try and be surprised. Remember that this the Bass version, but the guitar version is just as good.

I smiled when I plugged in and tuned on and slapped. Physics defines what you get from the size but then it still defies physics. Take time with the bass and Fly Bass settings so they both feel the love. Can't expect more than something you can balance on your shoulder. It's replaced my big practice "American bumper" at home.
