Alesis Q49 MKII USB Controller Keyboard Overview

The Alesis Q49 MKII is part of the revitalised and upgraded Q Series MKII family. With a four-octave keyboard, the Q49 MKII strikes a perfect balance between portability and features - all at a affordable price! With the transport and directional buttons, you can take hands-on control of your DAW software. The Qmini and Q88 are available if you need something more compact or access to more notes at once.

Take Control Of Your Music

The Alesis Q49 MIDI controller keyboard is a fantastic solution for composers and producers that need a capable master keyboard that can inspire and improve their workflow. In addition to being lightweight, it’s 49-key size means it sits comfortably on both a keyboard stand and desktop.

Hassle-Free Setup

Thanks to simple plug-and-play connectivity, getting the Q49 up and running is a breeze. All you have to do is plug it into your PC or Mac and it’s ready to go! The Q49 is USB-bus powered so there’s no need to worry about external power supplies. If you have a Camera Connection Kit, you can use it with an iOS device such as an iPhone or iPad.

Inspiring Performance Capabilities

The Alesis Q 49 boasts 49 full-size keys, with a synth action that provides a buttery smooth playing experience. They’re also velocity-sensitive, which allows the dynamic nuance of your playing to come through. Additional expression is provided by the robust pitch and mod wheels, which give you analogue-style control over your software instruments.

There’s a 1/4" input on the rear for a sustain pedal if you want the ability to hold notes hands-free.

The tactile slider, while labelled “volume”, can be assigned to control other functions, such as a track’s volume or the cutoff knob on a soft synth.
